Fiorentina are preparing a bid for Leeds United goalkeeper Ilan Meslier, according to reports.
Meslier has been with Leeds since joining from Lorient in 2019 and has made 198 appearances for the club so far – keeping 64 clean sheets and conceding 271 goals.

The Frenchman is coming of age this season and has conceded just three goals in his last seven appearances, keeping four clean sheets in that time to take his total to 13 in the campaign.
Meslier’s name came up recently Wonderful goal for Manchester UnitedPotentially replacing Altay Bayindir as No. 2 behind Andre Onana.
Meanwhile, former Leeds star David Norris has urged the club to move on from their ‘inconsistent’ goalkeeper.
“I think Meslier has started to look OK in recent games, but people I’ve spoken to who follow Leeds more closely are no longer convinced,” The scholar said.
“Farke is now likely to consider other options. He has been very inconsistent and has cost the club points this season. They don’t seem to have the confidence in Meslier that they once did.”

The plot seems to have thickened regarding Meslier, who is now attracting the attention of Italian side Fiorentina.
This is according to TEAMtalk (via Leeds United News), who claim to be looking for a smaller alternative to viola sticks.
Fiorentina only signed Man Utd legend David de Gea on a free transfer in the summer, with the Spaniard scoring just 14 goals in 15 games across all competitions so far, keeping six clean sheets.
However, at 34, De Gea’s best days are certainly behind him, and Leeds could now turn to Meslier in January to future-proof their goalkeeper position.
