Matondo, 24, will join on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy in the region of £2m.

The winger hasn’t featured much in the first team this season, mainly due to a hamstring injury.

D Coventry Lasha started in the academies of Cardiff and Manchester City before moving to Schalke in 2019.
The Welsh ace broke into the first team and spent three years with the German giants, who loaned him out to Stoke and Circle Brugge in 2021.
He then moved to Rangers in 2022 and has since registered a total of eight goals and 12 assists in 67 appearances.
The Wales international has also tallied 12 caps since making his international debut in 2018.
Coventry have also been strongly linked with Jeffrey Schlupp of Crystal Palace fame.
