The Welsh ace broke into the first team and spent three years with the German giants, who loaned him out to Stoke and Circle Brugge in 2021.
He then moved to Rangers in 2022 and has since registered a total of eight goals and 12 assists in 67 appearances.
The Wales international has also tallied 12 caps since making his international debut in 2018.
Coventry have also been strongly linked with Jeffrey Schlupp of Crystal Palace fame.
