The Liverpool star got his fourth assist Premier League Campaign with a sublime curling pass Luis Diazwho headed home to give the Reds a 1-0 lead at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Colombian was quick to recognize his team-mate’s effort, celebrating with Alexander-Arnold metaphorically cleaning his boots.
Neville compared Alexander-Arnold to some of the competition’s best ball-strikers of all time, including David Beckham.
“I was watching Diaz reach the goal, he was dropping deeper than Gacpo and Salah in the old Firmino position,” he said.
‘The cross is something else. It’s precision, there’s very few players in the history of the Premier League that I’ve seen who can get it down to sixpence with the pace, the precision, the level of the whip, it’s just perfect.

Alexander-Arnold has the most assists by a defender in Premier League history (62), followed by teammate Andy Robertson (59).
After his performance on Sunday night, he moved closer to Steven Gerrard’s all-time assist record at the club.
Only two Liverpool players have more assists in the league than Alexander-Arnold – Gerrard (92) and Mohamed Salah (72).
