The Windies produced some commendable performances in the shortest format but lost to New Zealand in the Women’s T20 World Cup semi-finals, and Matthews believes some teams may be keen to pick some of her teammates.

“Especially like the World Cup we just had, it really opened a lot of eyes to the West Indian girls and what they are capable of,” Matthews said. He added: “We’re all going to be very focused on the competition and then if someone comes through the draft ( sic), there will be some cheers and smiles.”
