PDC A challenging trip 2025 will kick off on Friday, January 17 with five opening weekend tournaments. The Pewter has now been confirmed for a second tour, for which £360,000 was paid during the season.
This track is open to players who have attended Q-School but failed to win a Tour Card. So a sort of second league for players who want to seek refuge in the PDC.
Beau Greaves, Mervyn King, Simon Whitlock and Fallon Sherrock are among those set to play on this second tour this season.
Cash prizes are only awarded in the last 64. Players can start with £75. This amount then increases each round. The winner will take home a whopping £2,500.
The Challenge Tour ranking is based on prize money won. At the end of the season, numbers one and two will receive an invitation to the World Darts Championships and a Tour Card for 2026 and 2027.
Additionally, there is another reward for players who do well. The top players in the rankings have the opportunity to compete as reserve players in the Players Championship tournaments on the PDC Pro Tour. If a Tour Card holder fails to register or withdraws from the tournament, his or her place may be taken by the highest-ranked player on the Order of Merit Challenge Tour.
