liverpool Head coach Arne Slot came out as gay and unexpectedly criticized the team’s performance. Last night’s 1-0 away win over Girona In the Champions League.
The Reds may not have been at their best on the night but still continued their excellent start to the European season with an impressive win away from home against a tough opponent.

Liverpool are now six wins from six, so Slott should certainly be delighted, although he was very unimpressed with his players when speaking after the game.

Slaughter didn’t hesitate to comment on his players, saying: “I’m not happy with the performance tonight.
“What am I unhappy with? I’m unhappy with a lot of things. If you’re facing a team that has such a good football philosophy and knows how to get the ball out from the back, like we played recently Some teams, like Real Madrid and Manchester City, then you need to be so intense if you want to embarrass them.
“But if you wait a few seconds before you pressure them, this team is going to cause you a lot of problems. I almost feel sorry for them because they deserve more.”
Arne Slott sends clear message to Liverpool
The start of the season has been beyond most Liverpool fans’ wildest dreams, but Slott has given a clear warning against complacency.
The Merseyside giants responded perfectly to the shock of legendary manager Jurgen Klopp’s departure but there is still a long way to go with no one handing out the trophy in December.
Slaughter is clearly aware of this and has made it clear he doesn’t want standards to drop.
Liverpool fans can only hope the players take their manager’s word for it.
