Jeffrey de Graaf did not qualify for the quarter-finals of the Polish Cup PDC World Darts Championships. The Dutch-Swede lost 4-2 in the last 16 against Michael van Gerwen.
Afterwards, De Graaf oscillated between pride and disappointment. “Michael threw really well and I had trouble keeping up with him,” he said. – I definitely had a few chances, but I didn’t take advantage of them.
“Especially at 2-2 in sets, I thought I had a chance to win the match, but then he went into extra gear and I couldn’t keep up with him. If Michael continues this form, he can definitely become world champion.”

De Graaf, who hails from the Netherlands, recently played for the Swedish national team. “Perhaps this performance will bring darts to Sweden for good, even if we all do it together. Someone like Andreas Harrysson has also been doing very well recently. The Modus Super Series is also becoming more and more popular in Sweden.”
“I think we will see many more good darters from Sweden on the big stages in the future,” De Graaf continued. “Personally, I can’t wait to get back to my pregnant wife now. I can remember the beautiful World Cup.”
