Snow hit the UK on Saturday and Sunday as flights were suspended and frost wreaked havoc. It almost derailed Devon Petersenroute to Q School.
Petersen, who lives in Bradford, has to travel from the north of the UK to Milton Keynes, which is a journey of more than 250 miles and takes more than three hours.
However, he went to X to thank the local community for their help, which garnered over 1,000 likes on the platform. He detailed how he wouldn’t have made it to Q-School without them.
He also took this as a potential sign of Tour Card eligibility as he managed to survive the difficult conditions and still find a way out of the snow to go to Milton Keynes.
Petersen is in good form and the African Warrior won the ADC Global title and showed some of his numbers before he suddenly lost form and lost his Tour Card.
“So we’re in Bradford and I couldn’t get out. Now we have dug out the bit that is my car (show car). The entire community came to make sure I made it to Q-School.
“This has to be how I get that tour card. It must be so. I can’t dig out the snow, these are crazy days. I hope everyone is driving safely on the roads and making it to Q-School. road to Q-School.”
