Diksha got good final charges but lost the playoffs and Avani ranked 16th

Kolkata’s Salt Lake Hockey Stadium receives Category 2 Certificate
Kolkata has become India’s latest international hockey venue, after Vivekananda Yuba bharati Krirangana, the Salt Lake has been awarded a Class 2 certificate by the World Institution of World and International Competitions (FIH).
“Congratulations to Kolkata Salt Lake Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangana for winning the Category 2 Certificate! Hockey India posted a big step in hockey on ‘X’.
According to FIH on-site certification, this field should be certified as a Class 1 or Class 2 field during activities.
The FIH Class 1 field is designed mainly to host top international hockey games, while the FIH Class 2 field is designed to host top national championships and international competitions.
Kolkata joins city clubs like Bhubaneswar, considered a hockey hub for India, Raipur, Ranchi, Chennai and New Delhi, among others, to get a green signal to host international competitions.
“FIH is pleased to confirm that the hockey stadium has been tested and has shown compliance with the FIH Class 2 hockey stadium requirements,” FIH said in its certification of the venue.
The certification of the venue is valid until December 13, 2027.
