Simone Inzaghi has warned that they need the ‘real Inter’ for this trip to Cagliari and cannot afford to be distracted by the Supercoppa Italiana.
It starts at 17.00 GMT at Unipol Domus Arena.

The Nerazzurri are three points adrift of leaders Atalanta, but have a game in hand against Fiorentina, albeit due to a packed fixture list that won’t take place until at least February.
Inzaghi keeps Inter on their toes

“We had five days off without a game, tried to celebrate Christmas with our family, now we have De Vrij back, but otherwise I had the same squad against Como,” Inzaghi told DAZN.
Stefan de Vrij returns to the starting XI, but the defense is still weak with the absence of Matteo Darmian, Francesco Acerbi and Benjamin Pavard.
“We know the Supercoppa is very important, but our only thought now has to be Cagliari,” Inzaghi insisted.
“They are coming from three consecutive defeats, but they all had good performances showing strategic organization. We have to see the real Inter today.”
They are already preparing to fly to Saudi Arabia for the Supercoppa Italiana, where they face Atalanta on January 2, followed by a possible final against Juventus or Milan.
“A strong start is essential, we’ve been coming here for many years and know the atmosphere the Cagliari fans provide. We have to start stronger than our recent matches and improve.”
