Nathan Aspinall is a hot topic in the world of darting lately, and his choice in Premier League Darts is under scrutiny, even by other professionals. As a result, “The Asp” is expected to represent PDC at the 2025 fair Bahrain Dart Masters later that afternoon, the Englishman does so, wanting to prove something.
Although he has long been a top PDC figure and winner of two major titles, the UK Open and World Matchplay, Aspinall has been plagued by injuries and terrible peroneal inflammation over the past 12 months. “I’m really happy to be back in Bahrain,” Aspinall tells PDC ahead of the 2025 championships. World series dart opener. “It would be amazing to win – it’s been a long time since I won a World Series event, but I’m having a pretty tough first game, so we’ll see what happens.”
In the first round, Aspinall will face the Chinese PDC champion Xiaochen Zongwith a clash with world number one and former world champion Luke Humphries potentially lying in wait for the winner of the quarter-finals.
