Pep GuardiolaHis side suffered their ninth loss in their last 12 matches at Villa Park as goals from Jon Duran and Morgan Rodgers secured victory for Unai Emery’s side.
Grealish started on the left wing for City against his former club and received abuse from the Villa supporters throughout the match.
The former Villa captain was also involved in an altercation with goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez shortly before half-time and was later shown a yellow card after a tackle on former team-mate John McGinn.
After the full-time whistle, Grealish was seen holding up three fingers to Villa supporters, who have won three Premier League titles since his £100million move to City in August 2021.

Speaking after City’s defeat, Guardiola maintained that the injury list had a huge impact on his squad.
‘It’s up to us. The solution is to bring the players back. We only have one central defender fit, it’s difficult,’ said Guardiola.
“We’re going to try in the next game, another chance and we’re not thinking much more than that.
‘Of course there are other reasons. Goals we don’t acknowledge in the past, we acknowledge [don’t] Do the goals we’ve done in the past. Football is not just a cause. There are many smaller reasons.
“Last season we won the Premier League but we lost here. We have to think positive and I have incredible confidence in the boys.
‘They have some incredible pride and desire to do it. We must find our way step by step, find our way back sooner or later.’
