In 2023, the Jacksonville Jaguars fell short of the playoffs with a 9-8 record. They are 8-3 in 11 games in 2023 and have lost five of their last six games. Jacksonville carried that losing streak into the 2024 season. The team started 0-4 and then got its first win in Week 5 against the Colts.
The Jaguars are 3-10 through 13 games and won 10-6 in Week 14 against the Titans. On Friday, head coach Doug Pederson announced TE Evan Engram’s season was over. He needed surgery to repair a torn labrum. He is in the second season of a three-year contract with Jacksonville. Ingram missed four games earlier this season due to injury and will play nine games in 2024.

The Giants selected the TE with the 23rd overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft Evan Ingram Engram, who is from the University of Mississippi, played the first five seasons of his career in New York. He appeared in 65 games and started 51 times. His most productive season with the Giants was his rookie season in 2017, with 64 receptions for 772 yards and six touchdowns. The team did not re-sign Engram after spending 2021 with New York and he became a free agent.
The Jacksonville Jaguars took a chance on Engram in 2022, marking the team as a TE. He performed well in his first season with the Jaguars and signed a three-year, $41.25 million contract after the 2022 season. In 2023, Ingram completed 114 receptions, 963 yards and 4 touchdowns. The 30-year-old was injured in Week 1 of the 2024 season and missed Jacksonville’s next four games. Ingram did return in Week 6, but he hasn’t shown consistent performance this season. Unfortunately, he suffered a torn labrum and required surgery. In nine games, Ingram had 47 catches for 365 yards and a touchdown.
