
Jody Morris believes Moises Caicedo has been ChelseaBest player up front Cole Palmer this season

However, Caicedo has shown significant improvement since the arrival of Enzo Maresca and the 23-year-old has established himself as a key figure in the Italian system.
Former Chelsea assistant Morris believes Cacedo is one of the top two central midfielders in the Premier League this season alongside Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenbirch.

‘I’m telling you, he was better than Cole Palmer at Chelsea. If you are talking about the best team of the season, who played better than Cacedo?
‘I’m just looking at pure performances, I haven’t seen a bad game from Cacedo.’
Morris also believes Chelsea need to recruit an established central defender to boost their title hopes under Maresca.
“I think we need an experienced, world-class centre-half,” Morris said.
‘I don’t think we need a striker, I don’t think that’s where we’re struggling the most.
‘We just have to step up defensively.’
