Joey Barton has criticised Leeds United winger for his poor …

It’s never been easy to please outspoken former football player and head coach Joey Barton.

He sometimes makes headlines for all the wrong reasons, most of the time for his controversial views.

The latest person to be criticized by Barton is Leeds United midfielder Jack Harrison, who is currently on loan at Premier League club Everton.

Harrison has struggled to make an impact at Goodison Park and looks the complete opposite of the Leeds player.

Barton praised former Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa for his excellent work at Elland Road and how the legendary manager got the best out of players who struggled individually but worked well together as a team.

“I think Leeds United, when Bielsa had them, they were a bit open to watch, but you’d enjoy watching Leeds United even if they struggled and Bielsa ended up losing his job,” The former Premier League midfielder recalls.

“I remember the early parts, the way they played was a breath of fresh air. They brought the game to everyone and they had some really good young players on the team, like Calvin Phillips.

“[Philips] Really struggling at Ipswich. He struggled at Manchester City. But he became an England international at Leeds United.

“Even Jack Harrison, he was terrible at Everton but he looked terrible at Leeds. They had a boy Luke Ayling who played for Yeovil before he played for Leeds , he’s a nasty person. Patrick Bamford…

“They were not those incredible players. But, as a team and as a whole, when Bielsa got them back into the top flight, I thought they were a breath of fresh air.”

Jack Harrison fails to replicate his Leeds United form

The 28-year-old has not scored or assisted all season and recently lost his starting place at Goodison Park.

The player is still on loan at Everton and given his performances, the Toffees are certainly not considering a permanent move.

Harrison seems to have lost the ability to score or create goals, which is a common thing at Leeds United.
