Jose Mourinho has told fans he is fine after reports emerged that the Fenerbahce coach will undergo surgery in Portugal due to health problems.
According to ReportMourinho, 61, will have his gallbladder removed over the Christmas break.

Mourinho, who managed Fenerbahce to Friday’s 1-1 draw at Yupspor before the Christmas break, did not specify the surgical procedure but said it was “minor”.
He wrote: “For those of you who have expressed concern, I can confirm that the reports of my surgery have been exaggerated, it is just a quick and short procedure. I will start training again on the first day after the holiday, as always. I have never been in 25 years. Never missed a session, and I don’t want to start now.”
Fenerbahce return to action on January 5, when they host Hatayspor.
Mourinho said it would not be a “happy off period” for him and that he was disappointed in the last game of the year, not because of the surgery.
Friday’s results left Fenerbahce second in the Super League, eight points behind leaders Galatasaray.
“We’ll have a few days off but it won’t be a happy time for me.” Mourinho said. “Actually, I would prefer not to take this time off but we promised the players a long time ago. Many players could not take more than 10 days off. So, it was an important situation for them to rest. We have to do better.”
Mourinho, who joined Fenerbahce in the summer and is looking to lead the team to its first Super League title in a decade, says they can still challenge for the league title.
