Ladies European Tour: Cara Gainer wins first LET event at Lalla Meryem Cup after dramatic play-off | Golf News

Her first female European Tour event won after the dramatic play-off in England’s Kara Gainer Lala Marim Cup.

The previous best result of the Gainer was the second of the 2022 Belgium Ladies Open, but he recorded his biggest career victory after India’s Deal Dagar on Saturday.

The 26-year-old player kept the play-off hole in the end, because Dagger made a Bozie, the pair were not nine overall to come to the top.

Gainer was one of the nine players in the overnight leader Shannon Tan, who lost his leadership in the front nine for not making a bird.

The four birdy halfway drawn by Spain’s Nuria Iturios saw him took the leadership, but nine four boys in the back had removed him from controversy.

Meanwhile, gyners and stains were layered in the last nine holes. Dagger did the XI and the 5th Bird, but before the final hole, the gyneer bugged the 5th before the hat-trick of the Birdies and before the end of the four-end 695.

Dager’s six-end 67 67 means a play-off needed to settle the title and Gainer came to the top with another bird.
