The MODUS Super Series will also start next week as part of next year’s schedule. This begins with what is known as “Legends Week,” which includes Vincent van der Voort AND Steve Beaton in action, fresh from sailing from PDC Professional trip.
Only players who do not have a PDC Tour Card can participate in the MODUS Super Series. As many as twelve great names from the world of darts will compete in the “Legends Week”. This includes Vincent van der Voort, who recently lost his Tour Card and announced that he will not attempt to recover it for now. Van der Voort is taking part in this tournament in preparation for the Senior World Darts Championships next month.

Steve Beaton has just retired from professional football
Aside from Van der Voort, perhaps the most notable name is Steve Beaton. The 60-year-old Englishman has just announced that he is leaving the PDC, but is currently focused primarily on this tournament and then the World Seniors Darts Tour (WSDT) tournaments.
The group of Portsmouth participants is complemented by other big names, such as: Martin Adams, Robert ThorntonKevin Painter, Darryl FittonWes Newton, Richie Burnett, Chris Mason, Trina Gulliver, Neil Duff AND Richie Howson.
Matches will be played from Monday to Friday. Six players will ultimately qualify for Saturday’s final session.
