One place in the 156-person field at the US Open in Oakmont in Oakmont, Pennsylvania will be awarded to golfers, which is no differently released, and in the first three individual Golf Classifications LIV from May 19.

Seven Golf LIV players are released for the US Open 2025, including a master of defending Bryson Decambeau, former masters of Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka and Jon Rahm, and the recent main winners of Phil Mickelson and Cameron Smith.
Richard Bland, a master of defending American open, also in Oakmont, while Tyrrell Hatton is expected in this field based on other dismissals announced on Wednesday.
This movement is a significant carrot for Australians Marc Leishman, Lucas Herbert and Matt Jones, along with the best LIV performers, such as Talor Gooch, Joaquin Niemann and Louis Oosthuizen.

John Bodenhamer, director of the USGA championships, said: “USGA still assesses the paths that exist to make sure that players have the opportunity to compete in our national championships.
“According to our historical approach, we constantly assess the level of talent on professional trips and amateur events, which led us to add a new category of exclusion.”
