On MODUS Super series This week is Legends Week, and former Lakeside champion is among the stars in action Steve Beaton. The iconic “Bronzed Adonis” also made a strong start to life after the PDC, topping the table after day one.
Losing only one of five games on opening day, Beaton gained eight points with victories over teams such as Richie Howson, Richie Burnett, Robert Thornton AND Devon Petersen. The only player to defeat Beaton in the MODUS Super Series arena on day one was the former WDF World Champion Neil Duff.
However, given Duff’s inconsistency elsewhere in the day, the Northern Irishman finished the first day in 4th place in Group A, just 2 points behind Beaton at the top, with Thornton and Petersen slightly behind at the bottom of the table.
Today (Tuesday, January 14), players will fight each other again on the second day. Will Beaton be able to maintain his place at the top of the group table?
