The squad for the 2025 season has been confirmed Dart Premier League which starts on February 6 in Belfast and we’ll see Łukasz Małyr as the defending champion.
There are only four places left in the top four. Michael van Gerwen, Luke Humphries AND Rob Krzyża have already booked their place in the top four, who will automatically qualify on the right, as well as Littler, who is world champion and defending Premier League champion.
However, the mystery at the World Darts Championships was who would join them, which has now been confirmed.
This year’s line-up was particularly noisy as many top names did not appear. Michael Smith and Peter Wright in particular were big question marks.
They were both replaced in this year’s line-up by two former players of the format in the form of Stephen Bunting, who is a person well-known and liked by fans, becoming one of the true cult heroes of PDC Darts, as well as winning The Masters at the turn of the year.
Chris Dobey returns after a year’s break. Gerwyn Price despite. a poor year in the World Darts Championship still had flashes and continues to do so, while Nathan Aspinall recorded another fifth-place finish in the Premier League and is probably the only other player about whom there can be doubts.
“We are very excited about this year’s line-up, which is sure to entertain our amazing audiences across the UK and Europe,” said Matt Porter, CEO of PDC.
“The BetMGM Premier League will reach a massive live audience over the next four months following record ticket sales for the 2025 season.
“All eight players have pedigree on the biggest stage and fresh off some great performances at the World Darts Championships, we are looking forward to 17 great weeks of competition.”
