The world’s first global team golf league, featuring many of the sport’s biggest stars, will return live and free to the Seven Network in 2025 and beyond, with the network announcing that it retains the rights to broadcast every round of the LIV Golf League.
Fans will be able to follow all the action and competition in the upcoming season on 7plus, starting with LIV Golf Riyadh (February 6-8), followed by LIV Golf Adelaide from February 14-16, when the tournament returns to The Grange Golf Club.
LIV Golf Adelaide 2024 saw a landmark tournament on the Seven Network, featuring the league’s first team play-off between Australia’s Ripper GC and South Africa’s Stinger GC. More than 2.7 million viewers tuned in on Seven and 7plus over three days to watch the action as the hosts reigned supreme and claimed a sensational victory in Sunday’s Championship.
“The LIV Golf broadcast is absolutely world-class and we can’t wait to kick off another great year of action on Seven and 7plus,” said Chris Jones, Seven Network sports director.
“LIV Golf continues to innovate both on and off the course. We really enjoyed working with the LIV team, thanks to which we were able to bring viewers closer to the stories of the biggest names in tournaments and get to know the personalities behind the most exciting players in the sport.
“At Seven we are really excited to continue our partnership with LIV, not only for the Adelaide event, which has become a landmark in the Australian sporting calendar, but also for all LIV Golf events, which will continue to be broadcast live and free on Seven and 7plus Sport.”
