Liverpool have not been as lucky as their Premier League rivals in recent transfer windows.
They failed to sign their top transfer target in the summer, Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.

Kimmich won the Champions League with Bayern in the 2019/20 season. He is a versatile player who can play as a midfielder or right back.
Liverpool are pursuing him because of his quality, experience and versatility.
Ryan Gravenburch has played a lot of games this season, and it’s clear the Reds need depth at the position.
Kimmich could also be an option at right-back for the club, who may have to hit the market for a new player in that position soon due to Trent Alexander-Arnold’s continued links with Real Madrid.
The Germany international is highly experienced in the top flight and has an impressive injury record over the years, missing just 17 games due to injury.
If Slott is successful in bringing Kimmich to the club, he could become one of their best signings in recent years due to his ability and experience.
His winning mentality will also help the club in crucial moments and his presence could give them an advantage over their opponents in the league.
