A 23-year-old debutant from Hong Kong Lok Yin Lee made a huge impression on Pally’s ally crowd. Lifting 9 legs in a row to defeat former finalist Lakeside Chris Landman 3-1 in 2025 PDC World Darts Championships.
Landman started the game brilliantly with a 15-darter, but in the next match he missed two darts for a double 15 and increased his lead. Lee then dropped the tops and went 1-1 on the legs. Both players then managed to keep their own leg, so a decisive match had to be played in the first set to decide who would win the first set. In the last quarter, the match was even, but ultimately “The Countryman” took the lead after scoring the eighth set and increased the score to 1-0.

In the second set, Lee gained the advantage. Thanks to a 19-darter in the first match and a spectacular 118-run finish for a double 19 in the second match, the Hong Kong native led 0-2. The 23-year-old also won the third match with a 13-darter and tied the sets.
Also in the first game of the third set, it was Lee who had the better of the match and immediately took the lead again, finishing with his 62nd goal. Landman fell completely silent, and the rookie continued to throw stoically. After 78 finishes, Lee played the fifth match in a row, and the third stage also belonged to the competitor from Hong Kong. This put him one step away from a bit of a stunt.
In the fourth set, Landman had plenty of chances to come back, but he also missed the doubles. Lee continued to hit his doubles and won that set 0–3, winning nine matches in a row and qualifying for the next round;
Lok-Yin Lee will enjoy one day off tomorrow before facing Northern Ireland international Brendan Dolan in the second round on Saturday afternoon, December 21.
