Luke Humphries During a recent exhibition in Germany, he treated darting fans to a spectacle by hitting a nine-arrow finish win with Stephen Bunting in dramatic circumstances.
On Friday, the 2024 world champion performed brilliantly against Bunting, scoring two 180s and then a 141 at the box office to create hysteria at the Buderus Arena.
Darts fans gathered at the Wetzlar Darts gala, which in addition to the leading duo also included Adrian Lewis, Jonny Clayton and Martin Schindler.
Interestingly, Humphries only hit nine darts four times in his competitive career, so to do it on an exhibition, also in front of a paying audience who were expecting to perform, was certainly the performance they expected and even more.
He posted a series of reaction videos to his Instagram story and posted one of them below, featuring 141 and fans going wild.
This was part of a rather crazy display in which Schindler introduced Humphries to the crowd before the game. Athlete Bunting, as always, praised Humphries for his effort. Both will be back in action next weekend in Bahrain, and with Littler winning nine darts last year, can we expect another next weekend?
