They are going to be in a frame

The year 2025 Bahrain Dart Masters starts tonight in Sakhir. This is the first tournament in 2025 World series darts and for the newly crowned world champion Łukasz Małyrthis is also his first defense of the PDC title.

Littler, who on January 3 became world champion for the first time in his career, defeating Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in PDC World Darts Championships final at Alexandra Palace, has just finished a short holiday in Benidorm and will enter Bahrain with new equipment.

“I feel fine. “I have a new set of darts” Littler explains in quotes to PDC. “I won’t throw with those with whom I won the world championship. They will be in the frame. All this to break into a new set.”

The 17-year-old Englishman (he turns 18 next week) can’t wait for Master of Ceremonies John McDonald to announce him as the current world champion. “It will be fine,” he announces. “You will hear it all year round. “I can’t wait for John to say it for the first time in front of a sold-out arena in Bahrain.”

“Tickets are sold out for both evenings, Thursday and Friday. We hope that we Premier League players can survive this first match,” Littler added. “We all want to start this year with a victory in Bahrain. I know everyone will be ready for it.”

Due to a recent equipment change, Littler enters the Behrain Darts Masters with modest expectations. In his first match he will face an experienced player Lawrence Ilagan. “I will be happy if I manage to beat the first game,” he concludes. “I met Lourence at the Grand Slam and it was tough. But I was one step better than him. This is the first real match this year. I can’t wait to play now. It was a gift last year for my 17th birthday, so I hope it will be another gift for my 18th birthday.”
