Łukasz Małyr is about to parade the famous Sid Waddell Trophy at his beloved Old Trafford, Manchester United’s hallowed ground.
Littler will once again do what Stephen Bunting dreamed of when he wins the biggest title in sport. According to The Sun, club officials have already contacted him in an attempt to determine when it would be best for him to lift the trophy in front of the fans.
Perhaps the best option would be a home clash against Brighton. Although this is the day after he returned home from the Bahrain Darts Masters on January 19.
But such are the demands not only of darts as the new season gets underway, but also of the short shelf life that perhaps the title shines in when it comes to showing it off to fans. Strike while the iron is hot, so to speak, and he will hopefully do just that.
He talked about the potential of doing so after winning the world title, and Harry Maguire, among others, sent him messages and posted on his stories. The country was in a frenzy over the teenager’s sensation, which apparently also affected his favorite soccer team.
“Of course I would love to get there,” Littler said after the victory PDC World Darts Championships.
If they let me, I’m sure I’ll go to Old Trafford. I saw Michael Smith do it with a world title when he went to rugby league club St Helens.
It’s been a crazy few days, but I want to say thank you very much. I’ve never received so many messages from people and I’m grateful for every single one of them🙏🏼 I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support I’ve received, especially from my family, management and sponsors, so sharing moments like this with them means a lot to me I mean❤️ pic.twitter.com/qwlPHaVUcS
