Luke Littler shares the four-word message he received from David Beckham after winning the World Darts Championship

Luke Littler made darts history by becoming the youngest world champion in the sport’s history at the 2025 World Darts Championships.

The teenager’s name became a household name when he reached the finals of the 2024 tournament, and his icon status grew with each major victory.

Łukasz Małyr since his PDC debut in 2023, he has won the Premier League, the Grand Slam of Darts and the World Darts Championship and has become a true star outside the sport.

Nuke was the most Googled athlete of 2024 and has amassed nearly two million followers on Instagram.

After winning the biggest prize in darts, David Beckham contacted the 17-year-old and congratulated him.

David Beckham’s message to Luke Littler

Beckham previously reached out to Littler during his first appearance in the final, congratulating the teenager and sharing his love for Manchester United.

After Littler’s 7-3 victory over Michael van Gerwenthe legendary footballer contacted the famous Manchester United fan again.

Asked by 5 Live if any celebrities had congratulated him, Littler replied: “David Beckham wrote to me. This is the biggest one. He said, ‘Good job and wow'”

Both stars are icons of British sport, with Beckham winning the Sports Personality of the Year award in 2001. Littler finished second to Keely Hodgkinson in 2024.

Luke Littler reveals his first purchase after the World Cup

Littler is £500,000 richer thanks to his first World Darts Championship victory and has revealed what he will spend the money on.

The Nuke is 17 years old, old enough to learn to drive, and is looking for his first car in which he can take driving lessons.

Speaking at the post-match press conference after the final, Littler said: “Last year I thought about driving and I loved the Ford Focus, but now I’ve gone out into the world a bit.”

“I’ve always loved the Mercedes A-Class. Just a small car.

Littler’s next potential tournament will be on January 16 at the Bahrain Darts Masters. Last year’s tournament was won by The Nuke, and the 17-year-old also shot nine.
