Madar Razma called a third round meeting with Stephen Bunting in 2025 PDC World Darts Championshipshaving survived an early attack Dirk van Duijvenbode and won 3:1 against the Dutch.
After last year’s injuries, Van Duijvenbode struggled with illness. However, the Dutchman showed no negative effects during his epic walk, and once he got down to business, the ‘Aubergenius’ really impressed. In three straight legs, Van Duijvenbode ran through the first set with an average of 112+ and sealed it in style, scoring 147 points.

Van Duijvenbode executed a four-leg spin in the first set of the second set, then kicked the next game with maximum force to put pressure on Razma’s shot. Ultimately, this pressure also showed itself when the Dutchman broke Razma’s throw and moved two legs up in the second set. Ultimately, however, Razma stopped the rot in the next one, surviving Van Duijvenbode’s missed shot in the process. When Razma tied the set in the next game, the momentum seemed to shift to the Latvian. Calling for 65 in the next match, Razma took the set at 1-1.
The pace dropped completely in an instant and from an average of over 112 points in the first set, Van Duijvenbode averaged just 78 in the third set, which allowed the Latvian to take full control of the match and go 2-1.
Razma had a chance to continue leading the match in the first set of the fourth set, but failed to find a double in multiple attempts, allowing Van Duijvenbode to break the rot and regain a foothold in the match. As the pair traded shots in subsequent games, exchanging blows for the first time in the match, the set was completely decided. Van Duijvenbode had darts, but he also felt the pressure, knowing that if he lost a leg, he would go home. It was Razma who threw the first dart for a double, conceding his 16th double in the match. Van Duijvenbode, however, failed to nail a double 18 to save his skin, and the Latvian was penalized for arranging a meeting with Stephen Bunting.
