Manchester City are interested in potential deals for three Serie A players despite spending €150m during the January transfer window, including two Juventus stars and Gian Piero Gasperini, a midfield engine at Atalanta.

Pep Guardiola’s side officially announced the signing of Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, becoming the most expensive Premier League signing of the window at €75m. The Citizens also signed Abdu Khusanov for €40 million and Vitor Reis for €37 million.

However, despite spending more than €150m in January, City are still looking to strengthen as they look to improve on their current fifth-placed ranking in the Premier League, according to reports in the UK.

It has also been suggested that City have tried to sign Douglas Luiz, who spent two years in Manchester before moving to Aston Villa and then Juve in the summer. The Bianconi are not open to sending him out on loan, however, as things stand.

The Times also reported that Atalanta’s Ederson is still keen to revive an aging City midfield, which currently includes Ilkay Gundogan (34), Kevin De Bruyne (33) and Bernardo Silva (30).
