First, they completed the signing of Abdukodir Khusanov from RC Lens on Monday evening in a £33m deal.

The central defender has agreed a four-and-a-half-year deal.

On Tuesday, they confirmed the £29.4m signing of centre-back Vitor Reis from Brazilian club Palmeiras.

Reyes, 19, is widely regarded as one of South America’s most talented youngsters and is set to join the squad immediately rather than stay in Brazil for the Club World Cup.

Meanwhile, striker Omar Marmoush underwent his medical at the club after City reached a £67m verbal agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign him.

The 25-year-old Marmausch is the second top scorer in the Bundesliga behind Harry Kane with 15 goals. He has 20 goals in all competitions.

Mail Sport exclusively revealed City’s interest in the Egypt international last month and the club have already agreed personal terms with the forward.
