Manchester United consider £33m move for Lecce wing-back Patrick Dorgu | Manchester United

Manchester United are targeting Lakers’ Patrick Dorgu, with the Italian club eyeing around €40m (£33.7m) for the 20-year-old wing-back.

The fee is €10 million more than United’s valuation for the player but Ruben Amorim is intent on joining the club with the Danish international in talks to continue a move.

Dorgu, who is 6ft 2in and can operate at left or right full-back, made his senior debut last season and has played 52 times in Serie A. Leche. He has four international caps.

If a deal can be reached and Dorgu joins United, Amorim will be the first-choice signing for his 3-4-3 formation. The players inherited from Erik ten Haag have struggled with the system, with the team winning just six of the Portuguese’s 16 games.

United’s finances are tight but funding for Anthony’s expected loan will be bolstered Real Bets Go through for the rest of the season. The winger is expected to complete his move to Betis in the next 24 hours after being cleared to travel to Seville for treatment. The proposed deal would see Betis pay 84% of the winger’s £150,000-a-week wages and 84% of outstanding bonuses.

United are also willing to listen to offers in the region of €70m (£59m) for Alejandro Garnacho, with Chelsea keen on the winger. “We pay attention [to the market] If anything,” Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca said Friday when asked about signing Garnacho. “But with 10 days to go, we have done nothing. We will see in the next 10 days if anything is going to happen. [But] I’m happy with what we have at the moment. On the right is Pedro [Neto] and noni [Madueke]On the left is Jadon [Sancho]”
