Michael van Gerwen enjoys holiday in Thailand amid snubbing Bahrain Darts Masters

Michael van Gerwen he won’t play Bahrain Dart Masters next weekend as a leading light that wasn’t there because he cited family commitments as the reason.

However, as part of his family commitments, Van Gerwen is holidaying in Thailand, posting quick updates of many photos of him, his wife Daphne and their two children.

MVG is fresh from the PDC World Darts Championship final where he was brutally beaten by Luke Littler, but will now be able to enjoy some relaxing time with his family.

He will return for the Dutch Darts Masters in Den Bosch, then play in the Winmau World Masters before competing in the Premier League Darts, meaning he has wisely taken some time off. He will then start the ProTour season, so there will be no rest, especially for MVG as an elite player.

“Family time in beautiful Thailand! I’m recharging with my favorite people by my side. See you soon,” Van Gerwen wrote on social media.
