Michael van Gerwen is leading and is already halfway to the finish line in the first semi-final of the 2025 championship PDC World Darts Championships With Chris Dobey not taking advantage of the opportunities he was given. He currently leads 3-1 in the race to six.
Not even Dobey’s rapid run to take the first set on the board could prevent him from getting back into the lead in the tie as he sets his sights on facing either Stephen Bunting or Luke Littler.

The three-time world champion started the set 3-1 with two 180s and an average of 103 before taking off early. But he didn’t have to do that in the second set, as Dobey missed three darts in doubles in the deciding match, and MVG shot a 74 to double his lead.
Dobey finally got on the board and took it in stride, halving the deficit by taking 170 points. He made a clean shot and looked like he was heading towards the advantage.
But MVG is back. He regained the advantage to take the next three games to the fourth set and regained a two-legged cushion. He scored four 180s and 53% in doubles. Will this change or will MVG go on to victory.
