Mizuno launches new Pro T-1 and Pro T-3 wedges to fit any golfer

Mizuno has long been one of the last forged wedges available in the US. As most moved to casting or other processes, Mizuno remained tried and true to its forging roots. Now Mizuno brings us its latest forged creations, the Pro T-1 and Pro T-3 wedges for 2025.

Both wedges are forged with HD grain flow, similar to Mizuno irons, allowing for precise shapes and tighter tolerances using 1025E carbon steel. Mizuno works with Pure Select Mild 1025E carbon steel and then uses a copper backing to give the Mizuno wedges the softness you expect. Wedge feel and responsiveness are two key elements that Mizuno makes sure to get right, so players’ feel or touch can make small swing adjustments throughout the round to get the ball closer to the hole.

Mizuno’s Pro T-1 is a more compact wedge designed for players who like the look and feel of a wedge that can be very versatile on the green. And speaking of versatility, the new Pro T-1 has 6 sole grind options so you can be sure the wedge will work with your swing, conditions and the type of shots you like to hit. The new M sole has a medium rebound and replaces the previous D-Grind version, while the new P sole provides greater rebound in the D-Grind model. Quad Cut+ grooves are precisely milled into the face to ensure consistent spin on every shot and cast. Mizuno has also reintroduced the Hydroflow micro-grooves, which help prevent spin loss when the pitch is wet or lying around the green. Hydroflow micro grooves work by wicking moisture away from the main grooves, creating more friction between the ball and the wedge surface. You will have a choice of 3 different finishes with the Pro T-1 Wedge; Soft white satin, blue ion and black ion.

The new Mizuno Pro T-3 shoes are designed with stability in mind, helping golfers hit more consistent shots on the green. The Pro T-3 has a recessed back and a slightly longer blade, which should forgive shots that miss the center of the wedge. Many “forgiving” wedges typically don’t offer much in terms of versatility, but Mizuno made sure to change that narrative. The new Pro T-3 will offer 3 different sole options in sizes S, M and C to work with different swings, conditions and shot types. As in the Pro T-1, the M sole in the Pro T-3 will replace the previously offered D-Grind. Like the Pro T-1, Mizuno features the same Quad Cut+ and Hydroflow Micro Grooves for high spin efficiency. Mizuno offers the Pro T-3 exclusively in a Soft White Satin finish.
