Naoya Inoue’s planned defense of his super bantamweight world title on Christmas Eve has been postponed after Australian challenger Sam Goodman suffered an injury in training.

The new date is set for Friday, January 24, at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo.

Both fighters have a 100% record, with Japanese champion Inoue scoring 25 of his 28 wins by knockout.
He puts his IBF, WBC, WBA and WBO belts on the line against 26-year-old Goodman, who has eight knockouts in 19 victories.
