Thunder in Oklahoma star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be a main player in the fourth season of NBA 2K25, which will start on January 10, 2K Entertainment and Visual Concepts announced in the new Courtside Report post. Previously, Visual Concepts has focused on the cover athlete’s distinctive style, but this time the studio is celebrating Gilgeous-Alexander’s performance this season and his two-time All-Star status ahead of NBA All-Star Weekend 2025.
NBA 2K25 Season 4 adds over a dozen new cosmetic items to unlock as players level up their MyCareer, including Phoenix Sunsgorilla mascot, banana costume and varsity jacket. Some rewards, such as Drift Trike and Cap Breaker, are only available in the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of NBA 2K25.
The new season also introduces several new MyTeam cards designed to increase roster depth in NBA 2K25. The main additions are:
Anthony Edwards Evolution Card – Complete challenges as Edwards to level up the card
Diamond Cole Anthony — Obtained upon reaching level 10
Diamond James Jones — Obtained upon reaching level 20
Pink Diamond Clint Capela — Obtained upon reaching level 30
Galactic Opal Xavier McDaniel — Obtained upon reaching level 37
Dark matter Dwyane Wade — Obtained upon reaching level 40
The rewards list includes Hall of Fame pins and high-ranked card packs in between these milestones, and new this season is the chance to earn Diamond-ranked cards outside of the Season Pass. Completing all 33 games in the new NBA Journeys Domination mode earns players six Diamond cards and a Galaxy Opal Bill Walton card at level 99. Diamond players are:
