Nikola Jokic scored his 140th career triple-double (20 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists) to help the Denver Nuggets win their third consecutive victory. Jokic ended up with his league-leading 10th triple-double of the season. He ranks third all-time in that category, behind teammates Russell Westbrook (200) and Oscar Robertson (181). Westbrook almost scored another goal, finishing with 18 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds.
De’Aaron Fox of the Sacramento Kings scored 29 points and became the game’s scoring leader, while Domantas Sabonis scored 28 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. Malik Monk scored 25 points and a team-high 10 assists for the Kings. DeRozan scored 17 points, McDermott scored 16 points, and Cohen Ellis scored 12 points.
76ers 121, Hornets 108
Tyrese Maxey scored 40 points and Paul George scored 33 points, each hitting six 3-pointers, to lead an injury-plagued Philadelphia team past host Charlotte.
The result dampened excitement for Charlotte point guard LaMelo Ball’s return to the court, where he had 15 points and 11 assists in his return from a calf injury that has sidelined him since Nov. 27. The Hornets lost for the 10th time this season. Miles Bridges played in 11 games despite scoring 24 points.
The Sixers shot 38 from 3-point range in Game 1 after losing center Joel Embiid (fractured sinus) and rookie guard Jared McCain (torn meniscus in knee) to injury on Friday. 16 in.
Bulls 122, Raptors 121
Nikola Vucevic scored 24 points and visiting Chicago cut a 16-point lead to one to beat Toronto. The Raptors’ last-second three-pointer narrowed the gap.

Malik Beasley scored a season-high 28 points, Cade Cunningham added a triple-double, and host Detroit defeated Miami in overtime.
Cunningham had 20 points, 18 assists and 11 rebounds for Detroit, but Detroit lost a 19-point lead in the fourth quarter. Osar Thompson contributed 19 points, Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 16 points, and hit three consecutive three-pointers in overtime to erase the Heat’s 8-point lead.
Jimmy Butler had 35 points, 19 rebounds and 10 assists for the Heat, which ended its four-game winning streak. Tyler Herro scored 23 points.
Cavaliers 130, Nets 101
Evan Mobley scored 19 of his 21 points in the second half, Caris LeVert scored all 19 of his points in the first half, and Cleveland took control early and beat Brooklyn in New York Team.
Cleveland led by as many as 37 points and improved to 23-4, the best start in franchise history and now 8-4 since winning its first 15 games.
Cameron Johnson scored a Nets-high 22 points and Day’Ron Sharpe scored 15 points. Brooklyn committed a season-worst 22 turnovers, which allowed Cleveland to score 34 points.
Clippers 144, Jazz 107
James Harden scored 24 of his 41 points in the first quarter, Norman Powell added 29 and Los Angeles easily beat Utah State in Inglewood, Calif., ending a three-game losing streak.
Harden made 6 of 9 shots and 5 of 7 three-pointers in the first quarter, leading the Jazz 24-20. Ivica Zubac had 19 points and 12 rebounds and Amir Coffey added 16 points as Los Angeles improved to 10-6 at home. This is the Clippers’ highest score in a single game this season.
Jordan Clarkson scored 20 points and Lauri Markkanen scored 17 for the Jazz, who lost their third straight game. The Jazz lost for the eighth time in nine games and the 12th time in 14 games. Collin Sexton scored 15 points and John Collins added 14 for the Jazz, who dropped to 3-10 on the road.
