Kevin Doets and Noa-Lynn van Leuven played one of the longest matches in the history of the World Darts Championship and fans couldn’t believe what they saw.
In the second set, both Dutch pitchers were blocked on one leg as their nerves got the better of them and they missed consecutive darts for a double.
Once both players were on D1, fans couldn’t believe what was happening on the Alexandra Palace stage.

Fans went crazy over a ‘crazy’ long leg at the World Darts Championships
Fans were quick to comment on social media about the unique darts leg that was ultimately won by Kevin Doets.
On X, one fan wrote: “33 darts to beat at the World Darts Championships! I average a solid 29 and was able to get through the leg quicker,” while another said: “33 leg in darts on Tuesday afternoon. I fucking love darts.
Another fan wrote: “Haha what a leg of darts that was my god?! The crowd loved it too, 33 darts! And one declared: “Set of 33 legs, D1 for both. I like my darts like this!”
The last time a World Darts Championship match exceeded 30 darts was in 2018 between Simon Whitlock and Martin Schindler.
The last day of the Darts World Championships
The third day of the World Darts Championships began with a clash between James Hurrell and Canadian Jim Long.
The English thrower dismissed his North American counterpart in a routine straight-sets victory and set up a second-round clash with Michael van Gerwen.
Doets recovered from a 33-dart match to beat van Leuven 3-1 and set up another second-round match with Michael Smith after their previous meeting in 2024.
Leonard Gates, Connor Scutt and Robert Owen also secured their participation in the second round of the competition.
