It didn’t take long Teddy Bridgewater to succeed in his first job since leaving the NFL.
Bridgewater led his alma mater, Miami Northwestern Senior High School, to a Florida High School Athletic Association Class 3A state title Saturday night, an achievement that came just 10 months after he was hired for the position.
The Bulls defeated previously undefeated Raines 41-0 in Miami to win their eighth overall state title.

Bridgewater, 32, was hired in February with the task of turning around a program that went 4-6 last season. He did that and then some.
Miami Northwestern improved to 12-2 on the season, outscoring its opponents 262-12 in five playoff games. He finished the season with a streak of 10 straight wins.
Bridgewater had 6,712 passing yards and 70 touchdowns as a star quarterback at Miami Northwestern before transferring to Louisville, where he won Big East Rookie of the Year honors and earned Sugar Bowl MVP honors after leading the Cardinals through Florida as a junior.
In 2014, he was selected in the first round of the draft Minnesota Vikings and played for seven NFL teams, most recently in Detroit Lionsbefore retiring after the 2023 season.
