Newcastle United are said to be ‘unsettled’ over Alexander Isak’s situation at the club (Reuters)

Newcastle United will claim more than £150 million from Arsenal or Chelsea for Alexander IssacAccording to reports.

The Sweden international has been in fine form for Newcastle in recent weeks, scoring seven goals in his last six appearances.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping tabs on the 25-year-old, who joined Newcastle from Real Sociedad in 2022 for a club-record £63million.

however, telegraph The report claims Newcastle want to scare off any potential interest by demanding a transfer fee in excess of £150m.

Issac has just under four years left on his current deal with Newcastle and the club are said to be ‘relaxed’ about the striker’s situation.

Howe said after Newcastle’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa on Boxing Day: ‘I love Alexander Isak, he has incredible quality.

‘He’s the right age, has the right athletic profile, I signed him and love him. I wouldn’t trade him for anyone.’

Howe insisted last week that Newcastle have no plans to sell Isak in the upcoming window.

‘We absolutely want to keep Alex at the football club,’ said Howe.

‘There is no part of me or Newcastle that wants to let Alex go. He is part of our long term plan. Personally, I don’t see it as a problem.’
