Nick Kyrgios has labeled the doping-related allegations against Janic Sinar and Iga Suatec as “disgusting” for tennis.
The men’s world No. 1 had twice tested positive for anabolic steroids in March, but avoided a ban as the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) determined he was not guilty.
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has appealed that decision and Cena still faces a possible suspension.
Now the women’s world No. 2 SWATEC received a one-month suspension in November after testing positive for the banned substance trimetazidine.
Pole was ranked world number one on August 12 when he provided a sample containing the angina drug trimetazidine in an out-of-competition test.
He said he does not expect a WADA appeal.
“Both of the world No. 1s doping is an abomination to our game,” Kyrgios said.
“The integrity of tennis right now, and everybody knows it but nobody wants to talk about it, it’s terrible.”
Like Siner, Suetek’s brief provisional ban was revealed after the outcome of the case was determined, with the 23-year-old attributing his absence from the three tournaments to personal matters and a change of coach.
This led to further complaints of a two-tier system, with star names being given preferential treatment, strongly denied by the ITIA and tennis authorities.
Sky Sports contacted the International Tennis Integrity Agency, who decided not to comment.
