Richie Howson won in “Legends Week” in Modus Super series. The 59-year-old Englishman defeated Steve Beaton In the final 4-2.
The MODUS Super Series is a weekly tournament in which 12 players compete from Monday to Friday for a place in the final group, which takes place on Saturday evening. The player who finishes first after three sessions qualifies directly for the finals on Saturday evening. On the final night, players compete in a small group stage, followed by semi-finals and finals to determine the winner of the week.
The competition begins again next week, with twelve new players vying for the title. After twelve weeks of competition, all weekly winners take part in ‘Champions’ Week’, which takes place every thirteen weeks to determine the winner of the series and the winner who will claim the top prize of £20,000.

Steve Beaton was active on the PDC Pro Tour until the end of last year

On the last evening, three competitors competed against each other in two groups. The first two players from this group qualified for the semi-finals. It was quite exciting in Group A as Steve Beaton, Richie Burnett and Devon Petersen each won one match. Taking into account the difference in legs, Beaton and Petersen ultimately qualified for the semi-finals.
In the second group, Richie Howson beat Darryl Fitton and Neil Duff. In addition to Howson, Duff also advanced to the semi-finals after a 4-1 victory over Fitton.
Beaton, who held a Tour Card in the PDC until late last year, held his own against Neil Duff in the first semi-final. Despite this, the 60-year-old Englishman ultimately drew the longest match 4-3. In the second semi-final, Howson was 4-2 too strong for Petersen.
In the final, somewhat surprisingly, it was Howson, the reigning Champion of Champions senior winner, who won 4-2 to crown himself the weekly MODUS Super Series winner.
