The 2025 European and UK Q-Schools concluded last weekend in Kalkar, Germany and Milton Keynes, England, respectively. Players from around the world hunted down the 29 available PDC Tour Cards for 2025 and 2026. This caused scenes of joy, but also a lot of disappointment.
Players who lost their PDC Tour Card after the previous Darts World Championships were able to take part in the Final Stage immediately. Interestingly, only three of these players managed to get their Tour Card back immediately. They were Karel Sedlacek and Maik Kuivenhoven at European Q School AND Adam Warner at the British Q-School.
These three players had to wait until the last day to receive their Tour Card. The 36-year-old Dutchman Kuivenhoven did it in great style, defeating Croatian Pero Ljubić 6-3 in the final. Sedlacek and Warner regained their tour card thanks to the Q-School Order of Merit.
Last week, many famous names left the list. Therefore, we will not see players who were constantly active on the platform Professional trip in recent years, the likes of Mervyn King, Jeffrey de Zwaan, Simon Whitlock, Boris Krcmar and Rowby-John Rodriguez returned to the PDC circuit this year.
