The Ohio politician has seen enough flag-planting by visiting sports teams.
State Rep. Josh Williams, a Republican, announced on social media Wednesday that he is introducing a bill that would make displaying flags at sports venues a crime in the state. His proposal comes after the fight on November 30 at the gala Michigan–Ohio State competitive football match when The Wolverines defeated the Buckeyes 13-10 and then they tried to plant their flag in the middle of the field. A fight broke out and police had to use pepper spray to disperse the players.

Williams calls it the OHIO Sportsmanship Act.
“There is no place on the field for conduct that incites violent fights and endangers law enforcement officers,” Williams said.
Ex Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield famously planted A flag in the middle of the field in Ohio after Sooner beat the Buckeyes in 2017.
Mayfield, who currently plays in the NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneershe said he didn’t think planting the flag was a big deal.
“Let me put it this way: OU-Texas he does it every time they play.” Mayfield said on December 1. “It’s nothing special. You take your L and move on. I’ll stop there.
