Patty Tavatana Sets AND Jake Knapp he shot a final round 65 to win Grant Thornton’s invitation in Naples, Florida.
The pair combined for an eagle and five birdies for a 7-under par round, finishing the PGA and LPGA Tour mixed event at 27 under.
The third round was played in a new team game format. In “modified fourball”, both players started the game, then switched balls for a second shot and played it until the hole. The lower result was counted towards the team’s result.
“I did well this week and I feel like it was all just good fun,” Thailand’s Tavatanakit said of her pairing with American player Knapp.
“I feel like our chemistry was really good, we were just talking about random stuff. It worked really well.”
Thailand Atthaya Thitikul and Korean Tom Kim they posted a third-round 64, with two birdies on the final two holes, putting them in second place at 26 under.
American couple Jennifer Kupcho AND Akshay Bhatia They made eagle on the 17th to get to 26 under, but made a scare on the 18th and finished further back.
New Zealand Lidia Ko and Australia Jason Daywho won the tournament in 2023, was carded with a 67 in the third round to finish the tournament at 20 under.
