Rory Mcilroy defeated a six-shot deficit and terrible weather to increase to the competition for the title of Pebble Beach Pro-AM.
Mcilroy began the bladder in the third round with four birds at the front of the nine, after which he will gain 15, 16 and par -Five 18. She left it seven under the day and -15 per week.
Shane Lowry (-15) matched 65 Mcilroy on Saturday, with an eagle on the second tone setting when he approached the leaders’ table.
“I felt as if the weather had started six for us,” said Mcilroy. “I said to Harry (Diamond), let’s just try to just connect the ball today. I feel like I didn’t really make a full swing.
“It became really square for us in seven, eight, nine, 10, so playing these holes was even huge. Then it began to settle and it was slightly more sheltered at the nine.
“It was nice to pick up a few birds along the way.”
The second round of the SEPP Strak (-16) leader saved his third round with four birds in the last five holes to keep one arrows leading to the last day.
Justin Rose (-14) enjoyed another strong round, and four Under 68 placed him with one shot behind Mcilroy and Lowry to set the hit final round.
Scottie Scheffler ended 10 below the third round 69, when he continues to return after his hand injury while cooking last month.
