Phil Mickelson (shoulder) to miss LIV opener, replaced by Ollie Schniederjans

Phil Mickelson will not play LIV opener in Saudi Arabia this week after he said he had a slight shoulder injury in the gym.

54-year-old Mikkelson said in social media that the injury is not considered serious and is expected that he would return to the second LIV event next week in Adelaide, Australia.

Mickelson will be replaced in the LIV field by Ollie Schniderjans, who won against a strong field on Sunday during the Asian route to win his first title in nine years. Schniderjans barely missed the full LIV card at a promotional event at the end of last year, but he will play as a reserve of Hyflyers Mickelson in an event worth $ 25 million in Riyadh.

Mickelson published last ten in one LIV event last year.
