Plymouth have appointed Miron Muslic as the club’s new head coach, replacing Wayne Rooney.
The 42-year-old former Cercle Brugge manager has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract, replacing Rooney, who left the club on New Year’s Eve.
Muslic was fired by Cercle Brugge in December when the team struggled in the Belgian Pro League, but he guided them through the group stage of the Conference League.

The Austrian coach will watch his new team from the stands during Saturday’s FA Cup match against Brentford, before turning his attention to the fight for Championship survival.
Argyle are bottom of the table, three points adrift of safety.
Chairman Simon Hallett told the Plymouth website: “Miron had a clear vision of how he wanted to take Argyle forward and demonstrated a deep tactical awareness that clearly defined how he wanted to position the team and play.
“He has great reviews from his time at Cercle Brugge, where he led a team from a low league position into European football, which is no mean feat.
“I want to welcome him to the club and look forward to seeing him make an immediate impact on the team.”
