Ryan Searle in 2025 he advanced to the third round PDC World Darts Championshipshad one of the most impressive performances on the Ally Pally stage this year, averaging 99.38, missing only one leg in a 3-0 victory over Matt Campbell.
Last year’s Campbell’s World Darts Championship campaign was ended by a rampaging Luke Littler. The Canadian seemed to fall into that trap again when Searle started the match with a 10-run knock. After Searle held his shot confidently in the first part of the second set, “Heavy Metal” came to life again in the second part of the set, pinning a spectacular 164 shot on the bull’s-eye. Completing the whiteout kit in a more stylish way, Searle produced the pop-pop cash 96 for the 14-darter.
With an average of just under 104, Searle was essentially flawless in the first two sets, making it look very difficult for Campbell to get back into the game. A few missed shots on Searle’s double opened the door for the Canadian in the first phase of the third set. However, Campbell couldn’t capitalize on the opportunity, allowing Searle to make it six in a row. In the next match, as Searle reached the mound, there were more missed “Ginger Ninja” doubles. Moments later, the victory was sealed, and in the next round Searle faced Ryan Joyce.
